The latest Final Fantasy spin-off heading to mobile platforms is called Final Fantasy: World Wide Words, Famitsu reveals this week. According to the magazine, Square Enix is preparing a “text-input battle RPG” where players will take on enemies by using the power of words that appear on screen. The game is set to feature a large variety of characters and references from the Final Fantasy series, seen in the same style both Theatrhythm games made use of. The RPG side of World Wide Words will include elements such as leveling up, and a Decoration feature that allows players to add other words on top of words to increase its powers.Set to arrive on September 16th for Android in Japan, Final Fantasy: World Wide Words will also launch at some point in the future for iOS.
