Midgar recreated in Minecraft

(1/2) > >>

--- Quote ---Minecraft modder Killerx20 spent two years faithfully recreating every aspect of the Final Fantasy VII city Midgar in the game Minecraft.

His recreation recently unleashed upon Minecraft and Final Fantasy lovers alike, and it’s huge! The city consists of 1290×1290 blocks.

He wrote about his amazing creation:

“As a lot are probably wondering, yes, more then 85% of this build WAS indeed hand placed. The only things that were not are the outer plates, tower, and reactors BUT that doesn’t mean they were completed when imported, they were basically detail-less empty shells and I wanted it that way so everything on/inside them had to be hand placed for optimal detail.”

This is REALLY impressive, there's also interiors and inside Shinra HQ! More pictures at the link:

I saw this on Facebook. That's pretty amazing. It'd be cool if someone did the whole map but i don't know how minecraft works so yeah. But geez 2 years.. =O I like how the Shinra building looks from that angle in your third picture. =)

Wow that's epic, I wanna explore that!

It's pretty amazing what Mindcraft users have been creating over the years.

That's incredible! The game just came out on Vita and this makes me wanna buy it asap
